The Titanic dataset concerns whether relatively more men than women survived the disaster. This question has been discussed in Chapters 3 and 4 in the examples. At the same time, the crosstab has been discussed extensively. The Titanic dataset has more variables that allow interesting questions to be asked. For example, there was a connection between survival and class. These and other questions can be investigated with datasets using statistical apps.
Dataset There is one dataset titanc6.json available. The original Titanic dataset with the core data is supplemented with variables derived from existing variables. For example, the ages are divided into groups of different class widths so you can set age (s) against categorical variables. Crosstabs Statistical apps There are three apps for analyzing datasets and crosstabs. In the Data Analysis app you opens a dataset in the menu:
Export of data, diagrams and tables It is possible to save datasets and tables for later use. You can select a chart or table as a picture to print or paste into a document. To do this, see the section under Info, section export |
